In order to understand the existing sources of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in South Carolina and the projected emissions in the future, the Climate, Energy and Commerce Advisory Committee (CECAC) of the Office of the Governor of South Carolina commissioned a study on this topic. The Center for Climate Strategies produced a draft report for use by the CECAC and the Technical Work Groups (TWGs) as they analyzed options for reducing emissions. The CECAC and TWGs reviewed, discussed, and evaluated the draft inventory and forecast methodologies as well as alternative data and approaches for improving the draft GHG inventory and forecast. The inventory and forecast have been revised to address the comments provided by the CECAC and TWGs.
